Our story
We are sisters, Leah and Kathleen, and together we share a deep passion for Early Childhood Care and Education. For many years, our dream was to create a childcare centre that reflected our values – a nurturing, authentic, community-oriented, sustainable, and earthy environment where children could truly thrive.
On June 12th, 2018, we took ownership of our little centre, and this is where our dream began to take shape. With the incredible support of our dedicated educators, our wonderful families, and our wider community, Bundilla has grown into a space we're proud of – one that continues to evolve with our knowledge, passion, and purpose.
Leah has over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and leads Bundilla as Centre Director and ECT. She and her husband are proud parents to three beautiful children – Mannix (7), Esse (6), and Sonny (16 months).
Kathleen brings a strong background in administration and plays a vital role in managing the operations of Bundilla, while also supporting Leah and the team. She is a devoted mum to Angelique (18), Chantelle (16), and Patrick (13), whom she shares with her husband.
At Bundilla, our journey is always growing, just like the children we care for.
Bundilla beliefs and values
Bundilla provides an environment that supports your child’s individuality and uniqueness with a high Educator to child ratio, committed and long-serving Certificate, Diploma and Early Childhood Teacher trained educators in a nurturing home-away-from-home setting.
Our philosophy statement was created around 13 points that showcase our values, beliefs and expectations of Bundilla. This statement is live and changes to reflect our current practises and supports our educators in creating our authentic and earthy environment.

"We could not have been more pleased and grateful of how Inge settled into school. It is going so incredibly well with her - on all fronts!!
She is doing well academy, she is confident in and out of the classroom and has made lovely little friendships (this last aspect was a bit of a concern as she has always been my shy little person) but she is doing so well!! I would not change her time with you all for anything in the word!! The time at your preschool helped shape her into who she is today.
I absolutely loved everything that you offered her. I have to say I LOVED the small and intimacy of Bundilla, I felt she was seen and heard and super well taken care of, not disappearing into the masses. It always seemed that you gave enough opportunity for exploration and self guided learning BUT ALSO showed the kids how to do structured set up tasks during each day!! This was a big deal for me. Overall I loved having her there and am still so blessed and grateful for the space you had for her when we needed it:)
